Pagosa District Ranger Kevin Khung will give a brief presentation on the proclamation and the process for creating the management plan. This program includes a one-hour astronomy talk at the Visitor Center amphitheater. As darkness descends, guests drive to the High Mesa parking lot where telescopes are provided. There will be a two-hour viewing time. All participants must be through the Colo. 151 gate by 6:15 p.m.; opening program from 6:30-7:30 with viewing from 8-9:30.
