The Sarah Platt Decker Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its monthly meeting at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave., Durango. The business meeting will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a program on Real Daughters of the DAR. Prospective members are welcome at all meetings. The annual fund-raiser for the Humane Society will be held at the Youth Center (parking and entry through the Humane Society Thrift Store). Tickets are $10 and are available at the Humane Society Thrift Store, 269 Pagosa St., the Chamber of Commerce and Higher Grounds Coffee. A limited number of tickets will be sold. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door for $15. This adult event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with socializing and the chance to preview the decadent chocolate creations. There will be a lasagna dinner and dessert served prior to the start of the auction. A cash bar will be available.
