Snowman Stomp Snowshoe Romp begins at 11 a.m. The annual Snow Sculpting contest will be on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Visitor’s Center on Hot Springs Blvd. At 2 p.m. the “Anything Goes Downhill Sled Race” will take place on Reservoir Hill. On Friday and Saturday evenings will be the Outlaw Snowdown concert at the athletic field in Town Park. There will be food, beverages and lots of live, rockin’ music. Tickets on sale at www.outlawsnowdown.com. Sunday is the Penguin Plunge, benefiting various nonprofits in the community. The Outlaw Snowdown is more than a music festival, it’s a high-country congregation of folks looking to have a good time — a play-hard weekend for the work-hard set. Tickets can be purchased online at outlawsnowdown.com/tickets for the two-day festival are $75. Single-day wristbands available at the door, space permitting, for $50. This is an 18-over event.
Make original designs, materials included, 10 a.m.-noon at the Education Center. Two further classes on 2/2 and 2/9, $65 for all three sessions, or $25 each. Instructor is Elizabeth Baldwin.
