The Pagosa Women’s Club will kick off the new year with a meeting and speaker. The meeting will be at Boss Hogg’s at 11:30 a.m. The lunch will be served promptely at noon; the price for lunch and a drink will be $10. There will be a choice of several menu selections. It is preferred that attendees pay by check. The speaker is Gloria Smith. Gloria lives here in Pagosa Springs with her husband, Jim. They have made several trips to Africa to go on safari. Gloria is willing to share some of her pictures of wildlife, including many endangered species. She will also share a few of her experiences and take questions. Mountain View Homemakers will meet at 11:30 a.m. the Extension Building at the fairgrounds to set up and enjoy a covered dish lunch and hear the group’s long-time historian, Shirley Snider, give a brief recap of the Homemaker’s past. The Americana Project at Pagosa Springs High School will host its end of the semester concert at 7 p.m. The students will be performing both original and cover songs. Every student will perform at least one song and this is considered their final exam. Please come out and support these young and talented musicians. There is no cost for this show.
