Pagosa Springs Elementary School will host the fourth annual Empty Bowls event Saturday, Jan. 26, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

We have over 300 ceramic bowls made by elementary and high school students, as well as by other members of our community.

Your $10 donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as enjoy a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, drink and desert donated by area businesses and community members.

A silent auction will be held, with items and gift certificates donated by local businesses and artwork by Ignacio blown glass artists Dale and Cindell Rogers, and pottery by New Mexican artist Felipe Ortega.  Proceeds will go to local food banks.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event. If you would like to volunteer and help with the event, contact Tessie Garcia at 769-4212 or Joanne Irons at 946-7545.
