Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter in support for Brooks Lindner in the upcoming school board election. Being a former school board member in our district, I have first-hand knowledge of the qualities needed to be an effective school board member.

Brooks exhibits the needed qualities; he will bring creativity, hard work, fresh energy and creative problem solving skills. He believes in effective communication and will strengthen the engagement of parents, students, community leaders and stakeholders in helping address the challenges facing our school district.

In an environment of unprecedented external and internal challenges, Brooks will bring to the board of education the necessary balance between working collaboratively with the other school board members and staff. He will do all of this to ensure excellence in education. Brooks will serve our children, families, faculty, administration and our community with integrity, professionalism, energy and good judgment.

Brooks is a certified regular and bilingual elementary teacher and a certified K-12 Spanish teacher. He has been a teacher for 18 years. He is the owner of Sonrisas Spanish School. His business creates, publishes and sells Spanish curriculum materials nationwide.

Our school district is the largest employer in our community and board decisions reach far, affecting jobs, resources and, most importantly, the education of all children. Please make sure to participate in this upcoming election. You will receive a mail-in ballot the week of Oct. 14-18.
