Special to The PREVIEW
It’s that time again: Curtains Up Pagosa (CUP) is very excited to announce auditions for its winter production of “Nutcracker the Musical,” a celebration of song, dance, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, theater and fun.
We are looking forward to offering Pagosa’s very own version of the classic “Nutcracker” to our mountain town. Adding to the wonder of the season and community, CUP is partnering with local dance academy students in the performance. This partnership is the first of its kind between the two and we are thrilled for the opportunity.
Auditions for dance academy students only will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., with an age breakdown as follows: 4 to 5 p.m. for ages 7-10; 5 to 6 p.m. for ages 11-13; and 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 14 and up.
Regular auditions for performers age 7 and up will be held on Sept. 7 from 2 to 7 p.m.
We are seeking all actors between the ages of 7 and 90 for this musical. Auditions will be held at Pagosa Springs High School.
Contact CUP’s director, Dale Johnson, at 946-1500 or Casey Crow for further information. CUP is looking forward to your audition.
