Contra Dance planned for Durango

A Snowdown Hoedown Contra dance will be held on Feb. 2 at Park elementary School, 510 E.  6th Ave., Durango.

Beginner dance instruction begins at 7 p.m.

The Contra dance, with the band “Hey” from Albuquerque, N.M.,  and caller Wendy Graham from Durango, takes place 7:15-10:30.

All dances are taught and called.  No partner is necessary, and dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Admission is $10.  First-timers get a pass to come back for free.

These smoke- and alcohol-free dances are a project of the Durango Arts Center.
