The Pagosa Springs Community Choir will present its Spring Concert May 17, 18 and 19 in the Pagosa Springs High School Auditorium. On May 17 and 18, concerts are at 7 p.m. and the May 19 concert is a matinee, at 4 p.m.

This year’s concert is entitled “Of God and Country”and will blend musical styles. The inspirational numbers include spirituals “My Good Lord’s Done Been Here” and “Steady My Trembulin’ Soul.” Patriotic music will salute our military and honor the American spirit with a medley entitled “Armed Forces Pride” and ”Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

The Jazz Ensemble will bring their special style to “Bring Me Sunshine” and “Dream.” All the music in the concert will make you smile and warm your heart.

The choir is again under the direction of Dan Burch and will be accompanied by Venita Burch. Narration is written and provided by Dale Schwicker and Dan Burch.

All concerts are free and open to the public. However, the choir members always welcome donations to help support their music scholarships and the music programs in local public schools.
