The theme for the annual spring concert by the Pagosa Springs Community Choir is “For God and Country.” The concert will be presented May 17, 18 and 19 in the Pagosa Springs High School Auditorium.

The annual spring concert will be presented by the Pagosa Springs Community Choir May 17, 18 and 19 in the Pagosa Springs High School Auditorium. The May 17 and 18 concerts are at 7 p.m. and the May 19 concert is a matinee, at 4 p.m.

Music for the concert will be both inspirational and patriotic to fit the theme “Of God and Country.” Each branch of the military will be honored, and a tribute to the sacrifice of all who have served will be offered as the choir sings “Because of the Brave.”

Members of the Pagosa Springs Community Band will play several times during the concert. All the music will deliver a dual message of faith in God and faith in our nation.

Narration for the concert is inspired by former presidents, our founding fathers, religious leaders and writers. Director Dan Burch selected music that will inspire and speak to all of us. The choir will be accompanied by Venita Burch.

All concerts are free and open to the public. However, the choir always welcomes donations to help support their music scholarships and the music programs in our public schools.
