The Pagosa Springs Community Choir will begin rehearsals Sept.10 for the annual Christmas Concert.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. in the high school band room.

Director Dan Burch has selected a variety of sacred and secular music for the concert to be presented Dec 6, 7 and 8. “Come On, It’s Christmas” is the theme for this year’s concert which will include special arrangements of old favorites “Silent Night,”  “Christmas Is for Children” and “Home for the Holidays.” The Jazz Ensemble is performing two upbeat, fun selections, and Venita Burch is again the accompanist.

We look forward to all of our previous singers returning, but we also hope to have new members join us. Due to many conflicts and time constraints for the director and choir members, we are not presenting a concert next spring, so if you’d like to be a part of the Community Choir, the Christmas concert is your only chance until next fall.

Rehearsals are held in the high school band room.

The first rehearsal on Tuesday, Sept. 10, begins at 6:30 p.m. for registration and rehearsal is held from 7 to 8:30. Each member is requested to pay $20 for the cost of music and binders. Subsequent rehearsals are held each Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
