The Pagosa Springs Community Choir’s annual Christmas Concert is this weekend in the high school auditorium. The concerts on Dec. 6 and 7 are at 7 p.m. and the Dec. 8 concert is a matinee at 4 p.m.

“Come on, It’s Christmas” is the theme this year, and the concert is filled with joyous religious and secular music to warm your hearts and lift your spirits by celebrating the meaning of the holiday.

Inspirational selections like “Christmas Is for Children” and “Still of the Evening” will awaken your memories of Christmas long ago and times that have meant the most to you.

In addition to the choir, the Jazz Ensemble will open the show with special renditions of “Sleigh Ride” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

The choir is also being joined by the Pagosa Springs Girls Choir, which will add a very special interlude singing “Winter Fantasy,” “Stars Are for Those Who Lift Their Eyes” and “The Twelve Days After Christmas.”

You are invited to get your holiday season started right. All concerts are free and open to the public. However, the choir always welcomes donations to help it continue to provide concerts, give vocal scholarships to talented students and support the music programs in our local schools.
