The Pagosa Springs Community Choir begins rehearsing Sept. 16 for its 2014 Christmas Concert. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. in the high school band room.

As fall approaches, the Pagosa Springs Community Choir will begin rehearsals for its Christmas Concert. The first rehearsal is scheduled for Sept. 16 in the high school band room at 6:30 p.m.

The choir is planning a concert filled with joyous music for the season, to include such favorites as “Carol of the Bells,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Gloria.” The Jazz Ensemble will also perform two upbeat, fun selections. Dan Burch is directing the choir, and Venita Burch is the accompanist.

The choir looks forward to all of its previous singers returning, and also hope to have new members join.

The first rehearsal on Tuesday, Sept. 16, begins at 6:30 p.m. for registration, and rehearsal is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Each member is requested to pay $20 for the cost of music and binders. Subsequent rehearsals are held each Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Concert dates are Dec. 12, 13 and 14. If you have questions or would like additional information, please call Betty Schwicker at 731-3363 or Pattye Holton at 731-1495.
