Civil rights issues with USFS continue

Since the publication of The SUN’s article, “USFS civil rights compliance review results released,” on Feb. 6, further legal actions have been taken against the Forest Service.

To recap, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (OASCR) released a report finding U.S. Forest Service (USFS) regions 2 and 3 in Colorado and New Mexico, which includes the Pagosa Ranger District, noncompliant with several federal civil rights and USDA regulations.
