Mark your calendars for the always-popular Christmas Tea provided by the women of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, slated for Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2-4 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 19, and will be available for $5 each. Buy your tickets Tuesdays-Thursdays between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the church office … while they last. No presales or early reservations will be made.
The traditional Christmas Tea is an annual event that has become a favorite of many Pagosans as they begin the festive holiday season. The worship space of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church is transformed by the women into an elegant holiday setting, complete with an expansive buffet of delicious treats, gorgeous tables adorned with beautiful table clothes, elegant centerpieces, and china place settings brought from the homes of the ladies.
Though the attendees are usually ladies wearing hats, accompanied by their daughters, granddaughters, nieces, friends or neighbors, there are a few men in the mix as well.
“I’m always happy to attend and enjoy the delicious treats these ladies offer,” said Fr. Doug Neel, rector of St. Patrick’s. “It is a wonderful occasion, filled to the brim with holiday cheer.”
All proceeds from the event are donated to local charities.
St. Patrick’s is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd.
