Due to the federal government shutdown that began today, the San Juan National Forest will postpone the Chimney Rock National Monument Plan open house set for Thursday, Oct. 3, until further notice.
The open house will be rescheduled in the future to allow members of the public to visit with Forest Service staff, ask questions and provide input into potential management options to be considered for the management plan. USFS staff asks that interested individuals remain patient and stay tuned to The SUN for updates on the rescheduled open house.
