The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Kristi Smith has accepted the position of membership and engagement coordinator.

Kristi has been actively involved with nonprofit organizations for over eight years. As a small business owner in Silverton, she served on the Silverton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the San Juan 2000 Economic Development Board of Directors. She then took a position as the Project Coordinator at a national member-driven nonprofit, the National Collegiate Honors Council at the University of Nebraska — Lincoln, where she gained experience in conference planning and membership recruitment and support.

Kristi and her family moved to Pagosa last fall and she was hired by the Community Resource Center in Denver as its event coordinator for the 2014 Southwest Rural Philanthropy Days conference being held in Pagosa this June.

In addition to being eager to meet the business leaders of Pagosa and to offer exceptional member support, Kristi is looking forward to exploring more of this beautiful area and learning how to fly fish this summer with her husband and two teenage sons.

Jan Santopietro, the outgoing membership coordinator, has accepted a job with the Pagosa Springs Wellness Center. Jan was with the Chamber for two and half years, assisting the members of our business community with development opportunities, resources, advocacy, services and education. Thank you, Jan, for your time and commitment to the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce.
