Carol Schneider

Carol Schneider is the new youth minister at John Paul II Catholic Church.

Carol comes to this position with extensive experience working with middle school and high school students. After teaching and most recently being an administrator of a K-12 school, Carol’s education career spanned over 16 years, 13 of which were spent on three Indian Reservations: the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, the Spirit Lake Nation in North Dakota and the Navajo Nation in Arizona.

Moving to Pagosa Springs in August 2009, Carol started her own business, The Artist Within, which opened in May 2010. As a jewelry and fiber artist, Carol’s work has won several awards. Her designs show the profound influence her experiences living among the Native American tribes has had on her.

Carol will bring an exciting mix to the LifeTeen and Edge programs by merging her educational experiences, artistic talents, and faith.

Registration for LifeTeen and Edge will begin Sept. 21. Register your child for LifeTeen and Edge after the Masses at JP II and IHM or by calling the church office at 731-5744. Edge will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
