Catholic Church to host Super Bowl party

By Roxanne Schick
Special to The PREVIEW

We are having a Super Bowl Party on Sunday, Feb. 3, ,at Pope John Paul II Catholic Church.

Many activities are planned, including three football pools.

The game will be viewed via satellite on a 90-inch screen that will be provided by Mountain Home Sound and Security. There is ample room for up to 60 people, so please consider joining us.

Tickets are only $5, and include one hot dog and a beverage.

“Stadium style” munchies will be available, so all can enjoy lots of good food while watching the game. Menu will include bratwurst, hot dogs, chili, chips, drinks and homemade baked goods. Even if “your team” didn’t make it, rooting for your Super Bowl favorite can be exciting.

Father Don Malin will host a special halftime show, as good as or better than last year’s show.

Festivities begin at 3 p.m. with Life Teen Mass and the Super Bowl Party begins at 4.

Call 731-5744 for reservations, or stop by the church at 353 South Pagosa Blvd. to purchase tickets.

We look forward to seeing many football fans for a fun-filled afternoon and evening.
