The Recreation Department is currently accepting gymnastic registrations through Sept. 6 for ages 2-12. The cost is $40 per student for a five-week session held one day per week. Classes will be strictly limited to 10 per age group.
The five-week session begins on Sept. 9 and will end on Oct. 10.
Youth basketball
registration ages 7-8
The Recreation Department is also accepting registrations through Sept. 27 for youth basketball ages 7-8. The cost is $35 per player.

Wilson, pictured with parents Rok and Amy, as well as with coaches Wes Lewis and Charles Rand, signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Adams State University in Alamosa.

Taylor Wilson, left, and Teagan Stretton both earned first-team distinctions. Devin Wilson, middle, was recognized as the Intermountain League Player of the Year. Hailey Griego also earned first-team honors, while Elsa Lindner garnered an honorable mention. Not pictured is coach Wes Lewis, who earned Coach of the Year honors for this past season’s work that included a 22-4 overall record and 10-0 league record.

The Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirates brought their season to a close Saturday at the state tournament, claiming fourth place out of the 70 3A teams in Colorado.
