Cards of Thanks

Angel Tree

The Angel Tree/Christmas Meal Box project would like to thank the Pagosa Springs community for making this program a huge success.  Approximately 180 families were served and 370 gifts were given to children and seniors. A special thanks to City Market for housing the gift tree at their location and assisting with the meal food; the ladies at Ross Aragon Community Center assisting with registrations; Our Savior Lutheran Church for use of their facility for storage and distribution; Wyndham Vacation Ownership for adopting families providing over 50 gifts; Dollar General for hosting a Toy Drive; Pagosa Springs Middle School Leadership Team for donating funds from special events they held; Bank of the San Juans, Rio Grande Savings and Loan, Citizens Bank and First Southwest Bank for receiving the gifts; San Juan Mounted Patrol assisting with traffic; Subway East for providing sandwiches for the volunteers on distribution day.  Thank you to the many volunteers who gave of their time and energy assembling the food boxes and to those who came out in the cold snowy weather to help on distribution day.  Thanks to everyone who took a gift tag and generously returned a gift.  This program could not succeed without the big heart and generosity of businesses, residents and visitors of Pagosa Springs.
