Thank you to all who made the inaugural ColorFest 5K Color Run/Walk a huge success. Thank you to Jim Miller, Chris Martinez and the Town of Pagosa Springs; Sean O’Donnell and Pagosa Springs High School; Stacy Kirby, Mary Jo Coulehan and the Chamber of Commerce; Tina Torrez and Cafe Colorado; Jess Lane and JM Photography; Mike Hayward and Murial Eason; all our wonderful color station volunteers and, of course, all you cray-z runners and walkers. It was amazingly fun and, to say the least, colorful! See you next year.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made the trail maintenance work day on Reservoir Hill last Saturday so productive — John Steinert, Jeff and Vander Quinn, Ron and Gavin Houston, Triston Richardson Bob Randolph, Beth O’Dowd, Christine Funk and Mac, Jeff and Addie Greer, Jen Tuggle and Janzen, Kelly and Dharma, and last but not least, the hardest working man in Pagosa, Jim Miller.
Also, I would like to thank Mike Davis for the time he has so generously donated helping put together the new trail map for the hill.
I personally want to thank local fire fighter Ed Ainsworth and his wife (my longtime friend) Deb for so graciously and unselfishly opening their home to us last week. My husband Jerry and I were staying in a remote cabin just outside of town on the river and things were getting a bit scary with the daily thunderstorms so we called Ed and in no time we were safely sitting by a warm fire with dinner in our bellies watching it rain from inside. This is our first visit to your wonderful town, your shops and restaurants are awesome. We plan to return during the sunshine as the quintessential tourists that we are. Thanks again, Ed and Deb — friends in the true sense of the word.
