Cards of Thanks

A visit to the emergency room is always traumatic. But the Pagosa Springs Medical Center’s staff, a great bunch of dedicated, friendly, and supportive professionals, turned my visit into an easy stay. I want to thank them all, especially Phil, who walked my overheated huskies waiting in the car, and was almost taken for a “sled ride,”and gave them water. Thanks, guys!

Thanks to all, we reached and exceeded our goal at the fund-raiser. We wanted to raise $30,000 and because of you, we are at $43,000, and going.

Personal thanks to all who sponsored Steve Norris. It was a challenge for him to play 100 holes. Not just in one day, but just to play 100 holes. He was a good sport and said he was a bit sore but had a great time.

Thanks to Rick and Aileen Wolfer, Cheryl Houle, Tom Solomon, Patricia Jackson, Heather Donahue, Diane Goheen, Mike Alley, Mark and Patti Donahue, Shellie Hogue, and Jill and Andy Ralph for your personal donation.

Thanks to Terry’s Ranch and Home Supply, Echo IT Consulting, Ace Appraisal, Foam Insulation Specialists, Waggin Tails and Absolute Comfort Spa and Pool for your financial support. And to the hole sponsors: Hillside Inn, Pagosa Glass, Kip’s Grill, Solid Management, Rainbow Gift Shop, The UPS Store, Colorado Dream Homes, King Campbell, Everyday Store and Alpha Engineering.

A special thank you to Pagosa Wireless and Stockton Gas (Pagosa Shell) for your extra sponsorship.

To all of the above — we could not have done it without you. God bless you.

On behalf of the directors of the Fred Harman Art Museum, we thank all who joined us on Saturday, May 25, for our “Love our Locals” open house: Ray Padilla and his mother, Liliosa, kept the Gomez Store open all day long and that trip back in time through the store was such a treat for all of us; the San Juan Shootists are such a great group of people and their fast draw exhibitions are thrilling to watch and even participate in; Doug Chapin, the Red Ryder impersonator, was on hand to keep law and order; “Bullet Bob” Hite, the bandit, tried to rob the Gomez Store at least five times and was stopped each time by Red Ryder and his posse; all the cookie bakers who kept the platters full of delicious cookies; and, finally, all our guests!

See you next year, you betchum!

Norma and Fred Harman
