Call for artists: Pagosa Green Environmental Art Exhibition

The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership is hosting an environmental art exhibit that will be on view at the Backroom Wine Bar, during the Pagosa Verde Symposium, July 25 and the Colorado Environmental Film Festival Caravan, July 26-27. Artists whose work addresses, reacts to or interacts with the broad idea of environmentalism and environment are invited to submit their work.

The exhibit will be on view July 25–28. Artwork may be offered for sale; the artist will keep 70 percent of purchase price and the Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership will keep 30 percent. Artwork will be insured while on view at the venue location.

Submission deadline is midnight July 14 and selected artists will be notified on July 16. Artwork must be delivered to or arrive in Pagosa Springs no later than July 23. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs.

Juror for this exhibition is Leanne Goebel an independent art critic, curator and writer — a 2009 NEA International Arts Journalism in the Visual Arts Fellow, a 2007 Creative Capital Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writer’s Grant Recipient and a member of the International Association of Art Critics. Goebel is a senior contributor to and her work has been featured in Art Ltd., Craft, Huffington Post, Saatchi Online, ArtTattler, Arts Journal, Artinfo, Artcyclopedia, Cross Cut, Visual Arts Source, Public Art Review, Trend, and Cowboys and Indians Magazine.
