I would like to thank the many people who made our first annual Spaghetti Dinner a huge success. It was held on Dec. 4 and, first of all, a very special thank you to Daniela Carr, the owner of Nello’s, for making this event possible. She and her staff were amazing. They were kind, helpful, organized and professional. It was a wonderful place to host an event. Lisa and Joe LaMastra, along with Maryann Robles at Jim Smith Realty, helped sell tickets for us. Maria MacNamee from Happy Trails donated a door prize and Brandy Richardson, along with her little, made another door prize for us. Several moms, families, bigs and littles made and donated cookies for sale. A big thanks to all of you for your time and energies supporting BBBS.

This event was extra special due to the fact that Blue Grass Cadillac donated their time to entertain all those that attended. Special thanks go out to Ron, Melinda, Randall and Clay for supporting us in this fund-raiser. It was so wonderful to have live music for this evening.

Kathleen Baca and her children volunteered at the event to sell tickets and cookies.

Also, I would like to thank KWUF and Thad McCain for their support and airtime, and The Pagosa Springs SUN for its support with articles that let the public know of this event. Like they say, it takes a village to raise a child and it takes a community to make an event wonderful, so thanks to all of you amazing Pagosans who made this an awesome event.
