I want to congratulate Todd Shelton, the newly elected chairman of the Aspen Springs Metro District’s board of directors.
He firmly took control of the meeting last Tuesday (7/8/14) and maintained it throughout. He firmly stopped an unruly and interfering presence who had in the past, though not a director, felt they could run the district not only from the ranks of the landowners on the floor, but from behind the scenes after the meetings.
He brought the meetings back onto the proper format, following both the bylaws and “Robert’s Rules of Order,” and firmly put back in place that the district would not get into the middle of neighbor squabbles, but would from now on only deal with the district’s roads, its water station and parks and recreation. Bravo, Chairman Shelton, bravo.
