The Pagosa Spring Center for the Arts is hosting its first annual Halloween night bash, so get ready for the Monsters Ball on Oct. 31.
The Center has already started decking itself out in Halloween ghoulery, with spider webs tangled throughout and blood dripping down from its 20-foot rafters.
Durango’s super jumping dance band, the Jelly Belly Boogie Band, will be featured at the Center from 7-11 p.m., playing the best boogie music from the ’40s, ’50s, ’60s and beyond.
There will be biting hors d’oeuvres. Scratch that ... there will be bite-sized hors d’oeuvres to help keep the energy of the boogiers up, a tarot reader — if you are brave enough to ask — a cash bar with tricky drink specials and, of course a costume contest where prizes will be delved out to those decked out in the best Halloween finery.
Tickets for the biggest Halloween party of the year are only $10 and can be purchased ahead of time at www.pagosacenter.org, over the phone at 731-SHOW, or simply by coming to the door the night of Halloween and digging a $10 bill out of your pink leotards somewhere under that pink tutu you’re wearing, that every grown man looks great in.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
See you at the Center this Halloween.
