Hunter education classes are scheduled in October and November in Pagosa Springs.
The first class is set for Oct. 18 and 19; the second class is scheduled Nov. 1 and 2.
Classes are held 5:30-10 p.m. on Thursdays and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays.
Students must attend Thursday and Friday. Students wanting to attend just the Friday session will not be admitted.
The sessions take place at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St.
Cost is $20 per student.
These courses will be open to anyone wishing to obtain a hunter safety card. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.
These will be the last classes taught in Pagosa Springs in 2012.
