School is starting again and that means the children’s division of Thingamajig Theatre Company will be diving into a new Fall Play Shop session.
This fall, the kids will continue to harness and refine their acting skills in a professional environment with a series of improv games while rehearsing for the stage version of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.”
Class is taught by Laura Moore, who has years of experience running the children’s theatre program at the Backstage Theatre in Breckenridge, being the educational director for the Lake Dillon Theatre Summer Camp, as well as performing in and directing numerous professional productions, including the nationally renowned Arvada Center Children’s Theatre program.
The class starts on Sept. 14 and is held every Friday (except for Friday, Nov. 23) until the weekend of Dec. 8, when the kids will perform their play for the public.
Class starts at 1:45 p.m. and ends at 3:15. The class is open to kids 7-12 years of age. Cost is $100.
Registration forms can be found on the Center for the Arts website, www.pagosacenter.org under the tab “Whatchamawhozits.”
You can drop off registration forms to the Center for the Arts at 2313 Eagle Drive or put them in the mail to the same address. Fall classes usually fill up quickly, so be sure to register early.
