On Sunday, Sept. 2, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “Redemption,” presented on DVD by the Rev. Angela Herrera, a young minister from the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque, N.M.
Herrera promises a talk about, “sin and deliverance, UU style!”
She explains, “The sermon is about being in the world, and being of it, but also being more than that. While we are walking the earth, we can create a kind of hell for ourselves when we do what diminishes us or is an offense to our fullness as human beings. Everyone seeks love and a life of meaning. We all have our own inner moral compass. None of us is perfect, but in the parlance of Unitarian Universalism, we all are ‘redeemable, lovable and worthy’.”
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.
All are welcome.
