Organizing For America and the Archuleta County Democratic Party are announcing that the Obama Campaign Headquarters in Archuleta County is now open.
The headquarters is located at 527 Pagosa St., Suite A, just across the parking lot from Plaza Liquors. Hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
The HQ staffer, provided by the Obama campaign, is Jed Udall, son of Sen. Mark Udall. He will be assigned to the Pagosa office until the election in November and is looking forward to meeting local voters.
The headquarters will serve as the center of phone banking and canvassing, a location for meetings and as a place to register to vote. Yard signs, bumper stickers and campaign literature will be available for all the Democratic candidates: President Obama; Sal Pace, running for the 3rd Congressional District; Mike McLachlan, running for the 59th Colorado House District; and Clifford Lucero, running for Archuleta County Commissioner in District 2.
