Well, the Archuleta Relay for Life 2012 is over.
I would like to say, “Thank you,” to all whom helped, supported and prayed for me in this event. Without you, this event would not have been possible. It means a lot to me to know what the people and this community can do.
Your financial support and donations are a blessing and helped raise over $44,000, with an additional $8,000 still coming in, making it over $52,000 for 2012. That is awesome!
Congratulations to Irene Roberts, the winner of this year’s quilt, which helped me raise $650 for my team, “Karen’s Korral,” for a total of over $2,000.
Thanks to Ponderosa Lumber, Sonic, Boss Hogg’s, Critter Outfitter and to Pagosa Ice Cream Company for your help with my fund-raisers.
Thanks to Sonic, Ponderosa Lumber, Shang Hai Restaurant, Goodman’s Department Store, Critter Outfitters, Eagle Mountain Mercantile, Ramon’s Mexican Restaurant, The Buck Stops Here and Pagosa Brewing Company for your in-kind gifts for door prizes.
A “thank you” to McCabe’s Repair and Welding Inc., Absolute Comfort Spa and Pool, The Tile Store, Terry’s Ace, Navajo Trail Rental Center, Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy and Sports Injury and P&M Drywall Inc. (from Tucson, Ariz.) for your financial support.
A special “thank you” to Four Corners Organics and Hydroponics LLC for sponsoring my team.
I would like to add The Pagosa Springs SUN newspaper and the Town of Pagosa Springs for letting us advertise for two different entities (Relay for Life and the Home and Garden Show), joining together in this great community.
God bless this great place.
