The Archuleta County Republican Women’s group will meet July 10 to hear Roy Vega, a member of the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation district Board of Directors, talk about PAWSD in regard to the Dry Gulch Reservoir project, its abandonment, potential disposition and the corrective action taken with regard to new-construction water and sewer connection fees.
This is a topic of relevance to all present and future home owners in Pagosa.
The meeting will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Boss Hogg’s restaurant and is open to everyone.
Vega has a very impressive resume, beginning with being a graduate of the University of Santa Clara, Santa Clara, Calif. For 34 years, he has been involved with community service here in Pagosa, which, in part, has included being a member of the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, VFW and the American Legion. Professionally, he has received extensive recognition as a Member National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Member 2007 Million Dollar Round Table, New York Life 2004 Annuity Champion and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow.
