On Sunday, July 8, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “The Art of Letting Go,” presented by Rev. Dana Lightsey.
Lightsey points out that Lao Tzu teaches, “When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” She adds, “Life so often feels like a struggle to hang on to what we have, or to who we are, or to those we love. Yet, there is a great gift in relaxing our grip and letting it all go.”
She then questions, “Where do we land, when we truly let go of all that holds us back? To be vibrantly alive we must also be endlessly moving though cycles and changes. By embracing this endless unfolding we help the process of our life unfold.”
Reverend Lightsey has just been selected as a new consulting assistant minister at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, Colo. Prior to this, she completed two and a half years as interim minister at Unitarian Universalist Church of Cheyenne, Wyo.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
