Fire Behavior: The east flank continues to cool, with a few fingers continuing to back to Trail Creek, where it will be held by crews.
The north flank is cooling with no active movement.
The south flank is cooling and sits along the Piedra River.
The west flank is putting up the most smoke as the fire is burning upslope on the east side of Sand Creek and unburned areas fill in. It is too dangerous to place crews due to steep and rugged terrain.
The Wyoming Hotshots and a wildland use module rejoined the fire effort Wednesday after a period of rest.
The primary objectives for management continue to be public and firefighter safety and to minimize impacts to private land.
