Rotary Club awards scholarships to graduating seniors

The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club is proud to announce the students receiving the 2012 Rotary Scholarships totaling $20,000. They are as follows:

Saje Brinkmann — $8,000 to be paid over four years. She is attending Fort Lewis College studying Biochemical Engineering.

Zach Graveson — $6,000 to be paid over four years. He is attending Fort Lewis College studying Environmental Geo-Science.

Leslie Baughman — $2,000. She is attending University of Northern Colorado studying Education.

Silas Thompson — $1,500. He is attending Colorado State University studying Civil Engineering.

Mary Haynes — $1,000. She is attending University of Denver studying History and English.

Joseph Onello — $1,500. He is attending Eastern Wyoming College studying Veterinary Technology.

These students were chosen from 25 applicants and are very deserving. Since 1983, the Pagosa Springs Rotary Club has awarded a total of $303,500 in scholarships to 127 high school graduates. The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club congratulates all of this year’s graduating seniors.
