The Hands-On Summer Art Camp runs for three weeks during the month of June for students entering first grade to sixth grade.
The camp takes place Monday through Thursday, June 11- 28, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. each day at the Pagosa Springs High School art rooms.
Tuition is $120 per week ($10 off per week if registered by June 1). Daily dropoff rate is $35. Class limit is 20 students per week. Art students can take one, two or three weeks of camp.
We promote Art for a Greener World — our motto. We encourage and educate students in reusing and reducing for upcycling. Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials such as making fish out of soda bottles and water bottles, making paper out of old pieces of paper and reusing aluminum. It is amazing to transform things that are thrown away into incredible pieces of art.
We enjoy exploring the infinite possibilities of creating art and music and look forward to teaching your child.
For more information, call Lisa at 731-3546 or Tessie at 731-9244 or 769-4212. Information on the camp can be found on our website, www.hands-on-artscamp.com.
The camp is sponsored by FolkWest, Inc.
Students need to “dress for mess” and they need to bring a snack, water and a good Art-i-tude!
