On Sunday, April 29, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will be privileged to hear “A Spiritual Journey Through Music,” presented by the renowned Tim Sullivan.
Oklahoma-born singer/songwriter Tim Sullivan began performing gospel concerts with seven talented brothers and sisters at the age of 6. As a teenager, he formed his first country band, which was named one of the best bands in America in a national “Battle of the Bands” star search competition.
Since those early days, Tim has performed in concerts at Carnegie Hall and on Broadway at Town Hall in New York City. His singing and acting credits include recurring appearances on “Good Morning America” and a featured role in “Everybody’s All American,” starring Dennis Quaid and John Goodman. He has also performed with such famous country singers as Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell and Tammy Wynette.
Today,Tim lives in Pagosa Springs and performs at venues here and in Durango, as well as taking several performing road trips each year. This accomplished guitar player with a soaring tenor voice will guide us on a musical-spiritual journey next Sunday, based on his own personal search for truth and meaning, as revealed in his original music, “Journey of a Songwriter.”
A short ceremony welcoming new members will also be held on Sunday, April 29. All are welcome to become members of the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. If you would like to become a new member, just speak to one of the Fellowship officers or leaders.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
