Delta Marie Moore, 81, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She followed her husband, Ted, who died seven months ago. Delta leaves her four children, Cindy, Val, Steve and Kris; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as her sister and brother-in-law (Jan and Tom James) and brother and sister-in-law (Jerry and Janice Ladd) and 13 nieces and nephews.
Born in Hutchinson, Kansas, Delta moved frequently throughout her childhood, and the pattern continued after she married Ted in 1949. Delta created a loving home for her family as they moved between Oklahoma and Louisiana. She enjoyed travelling with Ted and seeing countries around the world.
Delta loved entertaining and cooking for those she loved. She had many hobbies, including playing the organ, knitting, needlepoint, painting, reading, gardening, golfing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and hiking the mountains around Pagosa Springs (where she and Ted lived from 1986 to 2002). She, along with her dear husband, Ted, will be greatly missed.
Delta and Ted were cremated and a memorial service will be held in Pagosa Springs the second week of July, 2012.
