The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will meet Wednesday, Feb. 8, at SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts, 333 Bastille Drive.
Join us for socializing starting at 6 p.m., followed by the program, photo critiquing and business meeting at 6:30.
The Pagosa Photo Club is pleased to present this month’s program — a tutorial DVD on Ansel Adams.
Few American photographers have reached a wider audience than Adams, and none has had more impact on how Americans grasp the majesty of their continent.
The DVD is a documentary film that offers insights into American history topics including the closing of the wilderness, the American West and California history. It will be very informative and enjoyable.
A photo exhibit is held during each club meeting. Two categories are presented each month, with this month’s theme being “Cold” and the open category where any subject is allowed. Members can enter as many as three prints or six digital images. Good news: our projector has been calibrated and is greatly improved. President Bob Winners will lead the critique of photos. It will be done as a group rather than by specified judges.
The club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year, from September through May, at 6 p.m. Interested photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. Any and all are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for single individuals and $30 for family membership.
For more information, contact Bob Winners at firstname.lastname@example.org or 731-1850.
