This Thursday night, the Pagosa community will be given the opportunity to support a ministry serving widows and orphans in Kisumu, Kenya.
Mark and Lisa Hauger — Pagosa locals — have been serving in Kenya the past six months, pioneering a micro-finance program for widows, advocating adoption for hundreds of Kenyan orphans, and working to improve living conditions by installing a water filtration system.
Their contributions in Kisumu will create lasting change for countless Kenyans by providing income and, therefore, education for families, security and love for orphaned children, and sanitary water for the community.
Support this incredible ministry by attending the Arts for Orphans benefit concert at the high school auditorium tonight at 7 p.m..
The show will include singers and musicians from The Americana Project, performers from San Juan Dance Academy, and a silent auction featuring paintings by local artists and jewelry.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.
