Local photographer Jeff Laydon will present the program on Jan. 12 for Mountain View Homemakers.
The group will gather at 11:30 a.m. in the Extension Building at the fairgrounds to visit and set up the covered dish luncheon. The lunch will begin promptly at noon and will be followed by Laydon’s talk.
The presentation should be of interest even to those who are not the photo takers for the family, since Jeff has had a wide range of photo experience including fashion, product and scenic photography as well as portraits.
Jeff has also agreed to stay through the short business meeting that will follow, so he can be of further help to those who may have a new camera. All should appreciate his guidance about posing subjects and taking good photos of family and friends.
The Homemakers organization is a monthly gathering of women who are interested in making the lives of their families and their community more livable. The meetings include lunch and either enlightening speakers or a hands-on community project. One auction fund-raiser every summer results in contributions to a number of local non-profit efforts. There are no dues or membership requirements and every interested woman will be welcomed.
