If music was a tree, Americana would be the roots that allow music to grow.
Americana is music that honors and is derived from the traditions of American Roots music.
Having said that, Pagosa Springs High School has a music class that has been a great success for the past three semesters. Over the course of this past semester, the students of the Americana Project have written and recorded many original songs in the new studio. They have also shared the stage with rising star Caleb Hawley, of New York City.
To close this semester, the Americana Project will host an end-of-semester performance. This is considered the final exam and all students are required to perform.
On Monday, Jan. 9, the students from the Project will perform original and cover songs in the high school auditorium.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the curtain call will be at 7. There will be no admission fee.
Please join us for a night of fantastic music.
