Registration for this year’s 9- and 10-year-old and 11- and 12-year-old youth basketball leagues will run through Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Children who will be 9, 10, 11 or 12 years old as of Jan. 1, 2012 are eligible to register. The seasons will not begin until early January.
Registrations are available at the recreation office in Town Hall and are also available online in Adobe format at www.townofpagosasprings.com (click on the town departments link, then the recreation link). Registrations have also been supplied to local schools; parents are reminded to return completed registrations to the recreation office.
Cost is $30 per player and $15 for each additional child in the same family who participates. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Town of Pagosa Springs.
Coaches and team sponsors for these divisions are needed and appreciated. Cost for sponsorship is $150, which includes sponsor’s name on team uniforms, commemorative plaque with team picture and recognition in media articles.

Games in this year’s 7-8 youth basketball division began Tuesday night in the Ross Aragon Community Center.
Snacks and beverages will again be available from the concessions area throughout the season. The schedule continues tonight, with Black facing Royal at 5:30 p.m. and Red going against Purple at 6:25 p.m.
Complete schedules for this year’s program are available in the recreation office in Town Hall and have also been posted on the recreation department page at www.townofpagosasprings.com.
All games will be played in the Ross Aragon Community Center gymnasium.

Coaches and parents who ordered youth volleyball photos can contact Jeff Laydon at Pagosa Photography, 264-3686, to arrange pick up of their orders. The recreation office will provide sponsors with team plaques and pictures as soon as they are available.
The recreation staff would also like to thank Mr. Laydon for accommodating another busy schedule during this year’s youth volleyball season.
This year marks the 15th year Jeff has offered professional photography service to our programs while donating all of the team photographs used in the commemorative plaques free of charge; thanks again.
