On Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, American Legion Post 108 of Pagosa Springs will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremonies at 11 a.m. at the Post Legion Hall, located at 278 Hermosa St., next to Town Park.
Activities will include a flag ceremony, recognition of veterans of all services, veterans’ tributes and remarks by guest speakers.
Guest speakers include the Archuleta County Veterans Service Officer, Ray Taylor, and the chairman of the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners, Clifford Lucero.
Following the Veterans Day ceremony, the Post 108 Women’s Auxiliary will host a potluck luncheon at noon inside the Post 108 Legion Hall.
All veterans, family members and members of the public are invited to celebrate Veterans Day at the Legion Hall.
If you plan on attending, please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Local veterans are also reminded that they are invited to attend the annual Veterans Day breakfast, sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Middle School eighth-grade class. The breakfast takes place at the Ross Aragon Community Center beginning at 7:30 a.m. and is free to all who have served their country in the military.
