The doors of the Ross Aragon Community Center will open at 9 a.m. sharp on Saturday, Nov. 5, for the much anticipated 37th annual Civic Club Bazaar.
The event will run until 4 p.m. and will include art and craft booths, a raffle, a bake sale, a silent auction and a cafe that will meet your midday needs.
More than 70 artists from Arizona, New Mexico and various regions of Colorado, as well as those from the Pagosa Springs area ,will be there to present their fine wares to help you with your holiday shopping or to satisfy your personal wishes.
The work of talented artists will fill the gym, the arts and crafts room and the south conference room at the community center. The Civic Club only wishes there was more room to accommodate additional artists who are waiting to participate.
In addition to the 70 booth spaces, the bazaar will offer the usual raffle, silent auction, bake sale and cafe. The raffle will feature between 40 and 50 items this year, including the three traditional $50 money wreaths that will go to lucky winners. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased from club members or at the raffle booth on Nov. 5. Alongside the raffle table will be the Bake Sale tables, loaded with cookies, breads, pies and cakes to tempt you and to help you with your holiday preparations or your immediate needs.
In the gym area , you will find the silent auction table and the popular Civic Club Cafe, along with many of the art booths. The silent auction will be held between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and the cafe will offer the famous Civic Club brisket and other lunch snack items until we run out of food (yes, this often happens).
Booth spaces are all reserved for this event, but a wait list/mailing list for 2012 is being compiles.
