John Edgar Thibaut, 85, was born Sept. 28, 1926, and died on Sept. 9, 2011.

He was a resident and native of Napoleonville, La.

He is survived by wife, Carolyn Wilbert Thibaut; four sons, Will Thibaut and wife Isabel White Thibaut, Johnny Thibaut and wife Marjorie Baxster Thibaut, Steven Thibaut and wife Joan Heeb Thibaut, Pierre Thibaut and wife Vanessa Cutrer Thibaut; three sisters, Jane Boyce, Mary Elizabeth Rives, Peggy Watson; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Bronier Thibaut and Katherine Rice Thibaut.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at St. Anne, Napoleonville, La.
