On Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Pagosa Springs High School counseling department will host a College Fair in the high school commons from 6-7:30 p.m.
There will be representatives from nearly every college in Colorado at the event, as well as a few from New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming and Montana.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people face-to-face who can answer all your questions about programs, scholarships, entrance requirements, etc., at their school. It is a drop-in program: come for the whole time or stop by for 10 minutes. There will be lots of brochures and applications to pick up, so bring a shopping bag.
Also, there will be a great book on sale for only $5 at the program — The 2011-20112 Colorado Collegiate Handbook — so you might bring some money. This book has tons of specific information about every college and university in Colorado and is a worthwhile investment.
On that same Tuesday, Sept. 27, there will be a 45-minute presentation in the high school auditorium about financial aid, from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
We welcome our students and parents of all grades, as well as home-schooled and private school students.
