CARE is once again joining the River Church in Durango for the fourth annual River Run for Orphans (RRFO) on Sept. 17, at Fort Lewis College.
This event is a fun-filled day of activity, fellowship and music in an effort to raise both awareness and support for orphans worldwide.
CARE, Christian Adoption Resources and Encouragement, was founded in Pagosa Springs and has been instrumental in supporting families for 10 years through adoption scholarships, adoption resources and support groups.
The money raised by the RRFO CARE team participants will help further support the programs CARE promotes — programs that help orphaned children find forever families. CARE has a team in Kenya right now expanding their income-generating project for widows so that they can keep and care for their children.
