You and your son are welcome to join us at our Cub Scout fall open house of Pack 807, on Sunday, Sept. 11, at The Community United Methodist Church from 1:30-3 p.m.
As you may know, Cub Scouting is for boys in first through fifth grades. Cub Scouting emphasizes family-centered activities and builds self-confidence, self-esteem and a sense of belonging. Pagosa Springs is an incredible place to be a Cub Scout — not only because of our great outdoor adventure opportunities, but also because our it gives our children the chance to see the effects of their positive service to our small, but strong community.
Parents can help with projects and advancement programs at home throughout the year. Scouts meet weekly in small den meetings (4-8 boys), as well as once a month at a Pack meeting that includes awards ceremonies, games, skits, and other fun stuff. Scouting is “fun with purpose” — and while our programs capitalize on a young boy’s individual interests, it’s also just a great time! We camp, cook out, build things, play games and do lots of other cool stuff.
We’ll have the hot dogs, chips and punch ready, so come on by to learn about all our special activities planned for the coming year, get information about our service projects, or maybe just to make a few new friends. If you like what you see, you’ll be able to join our Pack right then and there.
Come join our adventure — we hope to see you there.
